FAQs

FAQ’S
We know this is a very hard time for you. We will do everything possible to assist you in honoring your beloved pet. Below are some frequently asked questions which you may find helpful.

Can we pre-plan?
Yes. This is recommended as it is easier to deal with prior to your pet’s passing. Arrangements can be made by contacting your local veterinary hospital and working with us.

What do I do if my pet dies at home?

We provide home pickup services, please call us to make arrangements.

Please call (501) 831-4562.  An operator will take your message and contact us if it is after normal hours.

What about euthanization services at home?

Your veterinarian or a mobile veterinary service will need to perform the euthanasia.  We will meet at your home at the designated time.

May I bring my pet to Pet Cremation Services?
Yes.  We ask that you call in order for us to prepare for your pet’s arrival. We cremate where we live and are located 70 miles north of Little Rock near Heber Springs.

What is the timing of the cremation process?
We normally have your pet ready and returned to your veterinary clinic in 10 business days.

However, if a special urn is ordered or engraving, the return time may be as long as 14 days.

How do I know that the pet returned to me is actually my pet?

We believe that every pet and owner deserves the security of I.D. protection without the added trauma of the pet owner having to view the cremation.

In order to ensure that your pet is treated with care, it is identified at the Veterinary Clinic with an ID tag that follows the pet throughout the pick up, transport and cremation process.

We understand that your pet is a member of your family and deserves the very best.

How much does cremation cost?

This depends on the type of cremation (i.e. private cremation or communal cremation) and the location of the pet pickup.  Consult with your veterinarian regarding the type of cremation you want. Their office will review pricing options with you.

Pet Cremation Services owns and operates five crematoriums and we offer:

  • Private cremation – When your pet is cremated by itself. The cremains are collected and returned to you.
  • Communal Cremation – When your pet is cremated with other pets and the cremains are spread on Pet Memorial Acres.
